Conservation and Colorado: A Winning Combo for Trout Unlimited
If you’ve ever wished you could hug your favorite stream, Trout Unlimited has the next best thing. Their Embrace A Stream program has been funding grassroots conservation projects since 1975. We're talking over million toward 1,200 volunteer-led projects.
In the last six years alone, TU’s helped reconnect 175 miles of streams, restore 80 miles of habitat, plant 30,000 trees, and log 50,000 volunteer hours. That’s some serious love for the water we all cherish.
A Reel Partnership
Big moves like this need big support. TU’s getting it from some heavy hitters, including Mayfly Outdoors, the crew behind Abel, Ross Reels, and other top-notch brands. Their Native Reel program—like the Colorado Cutthroat and Rio Grande reels—is pouring funds into stream restoration across the country.
And it’s not just about reels. They’ve teamed up with Coors to create the Coors Banquet reel and gear, helping iconic waters like Clear Creek in Colorado and La Barge in Wyoming get the TLC they deserve.
Clean, healthy rivers mean better fishing for us and a better future for the next generation of anglers. Thanks to TU, Mayfly Outdoors, and Coors, we’re seeing real progress on the ground.
So next time you pick up a Ross reel or crack open a Banquet beer, know you’re doing more than gearing up—you’re helping keep our rivers flowing strong.
